We've been making homemade pizza for more than 30 years, including pizza dough from scratch with basic ingredients like flour and yeast. It's quick and easy, you can use it in a way which does not offer pizza, customize, and the finished product is fresh and hot!
Plus .. You get the wonderful pizza aroma throughout the house …
A simple raised dough for pizza crust only takes a few simple ingredients, and you can do it aside to rise for an hour while you do other things. Or docontinues into the future, and freeze or refrigerate.
Pizza Dough Recipe
1 1 / 2 to 2 cups flour
1 / 2 t. Salt
1 t. Dry yeast
2 / 3 cup warm water
1 T. olive oil
Flour, salt and yeast (bread-machine-type) in a bowl. With water and oil. Mix well, then turn out on a lightly floured board to knead. Work dough for about 10 minutes by flour as necessary, a little at a time, at a glittering ball that sticks to itself, but not to the board or yourHands.
Lightly oil the outside of the ball and put it back into the bowl. Cover with a cloth and let dough rise in a warm place about an hour.
Stretch out the dough on your pizza stone. Spread with sauce, your other coat and mozzarella cheese. Bake at 500 degrees about 13 minutes, until nicely brown and bubbles will.
Remove from oven, slice and enjoy!
Flour for pizza dough
Many pizza crust recipes for breadFlour, because of the higher gluten. Gluten is the protein that after mixing, sticky and traps air bubbles released by the yeast. This process leads him to rise.
So if you have a thick crust, use bread flour, a teaspoon or more of the yeast. For a thinner crust, use all-purpose flour and a little less yeast. In addition, a mix of non-wheat flour works well.
Pizza Crust Variations
Replace part of the flour (up to about one third):
wholeWheat
Spelled
Quinoa
Or a combination of other whole grain flour, it is serious crust.
Use less yeast (as low as 1 / 4 teaspoons) if you want a thin, crispy crust
Add 1 / 4 teaspoon garlic power to give the crust a different taste. Other Italian herbs (eg oregano or basil) or Italian seasoning, also work. We propose to see the test with a small amount of what you want and how they go with sauce and toppings.
The sauce is very important in our house. For us, it makes the sauce! (We do not know pizza, the kind that) no sauce. We want Pastorelli, a brand from Chicago. It has a rich and spirited, Italian tomato flavor. It is not commercially available in all parts of the country, but if you can find it, you want to try it.
Favorite Pizza Toppings
Parmesan (paste it directly on the sauce)
Fresh mozzarella (the kind that you are in the deli)
Mushrooms (canned or fresh)
Mince – cook firstand drain on paper towels
Will make with fresh ingredients and a little practice you fresh, hot pizza in your home in no time. And you get your work to eat!
